<p>Coated equipment such as an electrode for a glass furnace comprises a ceramic matrix (1), and a platinum tube conductor (4). The conductor is welded to a circular plate (5), which in turn is w elded to a platinum coating (3), on the matrix. Extended lifetim es compared to consumable tin oxide electrodes are obtained, together with other technical and energy-saving advantages.</p> |
