The invention relates to an additive for improving the machinability of iron- based powder compositions. The additive contains a combination of calcium fluoride particles and barium fluoride particles, which is included in an amount of 0.1-1.0 % by weight in the powder composition. Fur- ther, the invention relates to powder compo- sitions containing the indicated additives, as well as sintered products produced from the powder compositions.
