PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery that can prevent shortening of the life of the battery by bending toward inner circumference the metallic foils of the electrodes 1a, 1b protruding from the end part of the generating element 1 and by putting these metallic foils in close contact and making the current distribution dense. SOLUTION: This is a battery that carries out current collection by connecting the current collection connecting body 2 respectively to the metallic foil of the electrodes 1a, 1b which protrude from the both end parts of the wound generating element 1. The whole or a part of the circumference of the metallic foils of the electrodes 1a, 1b that protrude from at least one end part of the generating element 1 are bent toward the inner circumference side.
