PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current-collecting device capable of reducing aerodynamic sound by a large amount and of reducing own weight. SOLUTION: A mounting seat 3, on which an arm 9 that supports a current- collecting unit 10 is mounted, is supported freely rotatably in the width direction of a car body. A sensor 12 for measuring line position is provided at the front and at the rear of the current-collecting device on the roof 1 of the car body. Based on the line position measured by the sensor 12, a cylinder device 4 is controlled to make the current-collecting device 17 follow the line, the mounting seat 3 is rotated, and the current-collecting unit 10 is made to follow the line 11. With this structure, the dimension in the width direction of the current- collecting unit 10 can be shortened, which makes it possible to reduce the aerodynamic sound by a large amount.
