The inductive cooking hob (1) has at least 2 inductors (13,15,17) positioned beneath a hob surface (7), with an electric cooling fan (27) directing a cooling air stream through the inductive cooking field, for removing the waste heat generated by the electrical circuit components (21) for the inductors. The cooling fan and its associated air intake and exit openings (29,45) are incorporated in the front half of the inductive cooking hob, below the hob surface. An independent claim for a cooking appliance with an inductive cooking hob and a cooking oven is also included.
