<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide resin belt having little warpage of the belt in the initial stage and no outward warpage and keeping a small amount of warpage for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The belt consists of a single layer essentially comprising a polyimide resin. The polyimide resin is obtained by adding and mixing a polyamide acid solution with a catalyst by 0.4 to 2.0 molar equivalent and a dehydrating agent by 0.04 to 0.3 molar equivalent to one molar equivalent of the polyamide acid in the polyamide acid solution to carry out chemical imidization. When the belt is engaged on two 30 mm-diameter rolls without loosening, the belt shows -5 to +5 mm warpage in the belt end at the middle point between the rolls. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
