摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a lock mechanism of an advance and retraction mechanism for generating pressing force in a pressing member of a friction pad so as to reduce the burden on parts by braking torque, improve the durability of the lock mechanism, and manufacture the lock mechanism having a simple structure and easily formed, thus providing an inexpensive product. <P>SOLUTION: This electric disc brake according to this invention is constituted in such a way that the advance and retraction mechanism is operated by driving force of an electric motor 15 and pressing force is generated in the pressing member of the friction pads 3, 4 to perform braking. The pressing member and the advance and retraction mechanism are mutually connected so as to prevent their separation. A straight line projecting part 62 parallel with the direction of tangential line of a disc rotor 1 is provided or a plurality of projecting parts 62 are provided on the same line parallel with the direction of tangential line of the disc rotor 1 in either of the pressing member and the advance and retraction mechanism, and a straight line recessed part 61 for fitting the projecting part 62 is provided in the other of them. By fitting the projecting part 62 and the recessed part 61 mutually, the pressing member and the advance and retraction mechanism form a lock means unable to turn to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p>
