PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition which has excellent mechanical strength, flame retardance and heat resistance in a resin composition comprising a thermoplastic resin, a flame retardant and at least one kind selected from an inorganic compound represented by general formula (1) SiM<SB>x</SB>O<SB>y</SB>zH<SB>2</SB>O (1) (M is an arbitrary metal atom; x and y are each arbitrary number not being 0; z is an arbitrary number including 0) and mica. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises 100 parts wt. of the thermoplastic resin, ≥0.0001 part wt. and <30 parts wt. of at least one of the flame retardant and >0.005 part wt. and <50 parts wt. of at least one kind represented by general formula (1) SiM<SB>x</SB>O<SB>y</SB>zH<SB>2</SB>O (1) (M is an arbitrary metal atom; x and y are each an arbitrary number except 0; z is an arbitrary number including 0) and mica.
