PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety by preventing reflection of images in a window in a rear part of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A monitoring device 22 for a rear seat mounted on a vehicle 20 displays image data imparted from a DVD player 32, a car navigation system 33 or a game machine 34 after imaging the image data. When a reverse signal showing a retreat and an illumination signal showing lighting of a small lamp are imparted from the vehicle 20, a logical judgment part 43 detects the period, a luminance control part 44 imparts a control signal to the monitoring device 22 for the rear seat to lower luminance of images displayed on the monitoring device 22 for the rear seat. As a result, reflection of images is eliminated in a rear window 27 and visibility is enhanced when confirming a rear side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
