摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining metal - ceramic composite materials to each other with ceramic powder or ceramic fiber as a reinforcing material and aluminum or aluminum alloy as a matrix which remarkably improves a joining strength larger than a prior art without generating a disorder in the composite material near the joined surface even in the method for joining by a brazing material. SOLUTION: The method for joining the metal - ceramic composite materials to each other comprises the steps of: charging the brazing material made of the aluminum alloy containing Mg of 5 to 10 mass% as a plate having a thickness of 1 to 3 mm between the joining surfaces of the composite materials to be joined; and heat treating the material at 600 to 650°C in a nitrogen atmosphere for 3 to 6 hours while pressurizing the surface of the brazing material by a pressure of 10 to 20 g/cm<SP>2</SP>to join the materials to each other.
