PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a further low height and improve molding performance in a battery holder that is mounted on a substrate. SOLUTION: The battery holder comprises a housing 2, a contact 28, and a contact 50. A housing section 22 which penetrates vertically is formed in the housing 2 and a bottom wall is not formed, and an opening 9 is formed. The battery is housed in the housing section 22 and supported by the battery holder 1 by a pawl 38 of the contact 28 and a protrusion 26 of the housing section 22, and is electrically connected to a spring member 30 of the contact 28 and a contact piece 54 of the contact 50. Since there is no bottom wall and an opening penetrated in vertical direction is formed, the battery holder 1 becomes low height and molding performance is improved as there is no thin bottom wall.
