<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a liquid crystal polymer is utilized in an optical anisotropic film, a liquid crystal oriented film, an optical recording material, or the like, and a liquid crystal acrylate polymer is used in these fields heretofore but this polymer is low in heat resistance, mechanical strengths, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An itaconic acid derivative represented by formula (1) (wherein preferable R<SP>1</SP>is F, F, Cl, NCO, CF<SB>3</SB>, CF<SB>2</SB>H, OCF<SB>3</SB>, OCF<SB>2</SB>H, a 1-12C alkyl group or a 1-12C alkoxy group, preferable R<SP>2</SP>is a 1-20C aliphatic alkyl group or a 3-20C cycloalkyl group, preferable A<SP>1</SP>-A<SP>3</SP>are each 1,4-cyclohexylene or 1,4- cyclohexnylene wherein arbitrary H may be substituted with F or 1,4-phenylene wherein arbitrary H may be substituted with F, Z<SP>1</SP>-Z<SP>2</SP>are each single bond, COO, CF<SB>2</SB>O, CH<SB>2</SB>O, CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>, C≡C, or the like, (m) is 1 or 0 and (n) is an integer of 1-20) is disclosed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
