PURPOSE: An image record media lending and withdrawal system and method is provided to enable a user to lend or withdraw an image record media, e.g., a video cassette tape or a DVD via various communication networks. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. A member accesses a web server over a wireless or wired internet(S11). The member searches for a desired image record media(S12), and requests the web server to lend the searched image record media(S13). The web server checks whether the member is general or regular(S14). The member pays for lending the image record media by using an accumulated money, a future payment scheme or a remittance(S15, S16). If the payment is finished, the web server stores the data on the selected image record media at a database(S17). A communication server transmits the data on the selected image record media to a mobile branch(S18), then the mobile branch checks the data on the selected image record media via a mobile communication network, visits the member, and delivers the selected image record media to the member(S19). The branch transmits a lending process result to the communication server via a mobile communication network(S20), and the transmitted lending process result is stored at the database(S21). The member transmits an image record media withdrawal request to the web server while the member puts the media into a withdrawal box(S22). The web server stores the withdrawal request at the database(S23), and then the communication server transmits the withdrawal request to the mobile branch(S24). The branch checks the withdrawal request, visits the member, collects the media from the withdrawal box, and transmits the withdrawal process result to the communication server(S25, S26). The communication server stores the withdrawal process result at the database(S27). |
