<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner which prevents drop in a sucked air flow, secures safety with a low cost without providing a special structure, and can efficiently protect a cigarette butt. <P>SOLUTION: In this air cleaner 10 having a control switch 80 which contains a scavenging part 40 for scavenging dust particles in air in a device body 30 and permits switching to the operation side and operation on a condition that setting of this scavenging part 40 is detected and provided with an inlet part 61 opened upward for taking in air in a clean space and feeding it to the scavenging part 40, a cigarette butt protecting net 70 for preventing passage of the butt is provided on the side of the inlet part 61 of the scavenging part 40, the net 70 is so constituted that the net 70 the switches the control switch 80 to the operation side when it is set in the device body 30 together with the scavenging part 40 and the net 70 can not be independently set in the device body 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
