<p>It is intended to provide a method of selecting a primer mixture (a restriction primer mix) whereby RNAs originating in bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, etc. can be non-specifically reversibly transcribed as done by random hexamer but ribosomal RNAs and high repeat sequences are reversibly transcribed only at a low frequency. By effecting reverse transcription using the above primer mixture (the restriction primer mix), the ratio of a target cDNA in the reverse transcription product is elevated and thus a bacterium or a virus infecting humans or livestock can be detected at a high sensitivity. Use of the primer mix further makes it possible to detect an abnormal RNA not occurring in normal cells at a high sensitivity even in case where the gene sequence of the bacterium or virus is unknown.</p> |
