<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater surely preventing the generation of hot-water shortage or the consumption of useless electric power caused by excessive production of hot water without requiring user's operation. <P>SOLUTION: A hot-water temperature raising value Ku per unit heating time is computed with a computing means 23 from supply water temperature Tt on that day detected with a supplied water temperature detecting means 8; a heating time accumulated value tw on that day measured with a heating time measuring means 22; and heating completion temperature Te detected with a hot-water temperature detecting means 6. Heated hot-water temperature of a hot-water storage tank 1 is automatically adjusted with a hot-water adjusting means 24 based on the computed results.
