PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium conveyance device capable of suppressing affection of a cockling when a recording medium is conveyed, and a recorder having the recording medium conveyance device. SOLUTION: A dimple 123 for absorbing an inadequate condition due to a creasing created on the recording medium is formed on a recording medium conveyance face 122 of the recording medium conveyance device 100 that conveys the recording medium by attracting the recording medium supplied on the conveyance face 122. As a result, even when a cockling extended in the conveyance direction is created on the recorded recording medium, the cockling is absorbed by the dimple so that it is possible to improve the recording accuracy by making the distance between the recording medium and a recording head uniform and to prevent contamination due to the contact of the recording medium with the recording head.
