<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress curvature which causes a problem in fabricating a polarizing plate by sticking films with different rigidities to both sides of a polarizing film. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate 50 is fabricated by bonding a polarizing plate protective film 51, the polarizing film 52 and a polarizing plate protective film 53 with high rigidity together. A film 51 with specified curvature is used as the polarizing plate protective film 51. By sticking its curved surface of the recessed side to the polarizing film 52, curvature of the polarizing plate caused by the difference in the rigidity and the curvature of the polarizing plate protective film 51 compensate each other and the polarizing plate 50 with no curvature is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
