PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flat cable connecting terminal in which a crimp piece can be pierced rightly into the flat cable or a flat cable part while a retaining piece does not disturb this.

SOLUTION: In a terminal plate part 5, at least one crimp piece 6 and at least a pair of retaining pieces 1 are protrudedly installed at the same side of the plate face of the terminal plate part 5, changing the position in the longitudinal direction of the terminal plate part 5. The height of the tip of protruding direction of each retaining 7 is set lower than that in the protruding direction of the crimp piece 6.
