PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem associated with a drive unit that a mover is damaged by wear due to friction at a point of contact between a support portion for supporting the mover and the mover and this makes it necessary to replace movers frequently. SOLUTION: A drive unit comprises a stator having a magnetic material with a coil wound thereon and a mover (6) movably supported on a supporting member. The mover comprises a first member (30) and second members (5). The second members are placed at points of contact (31) between the supporting member which movably supports the mover and the mover.
