MAGNETO-OPTICAL RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical recording and reproducing device for suppressing the generation of focus resonance by suppressing focus vibrations from propagating to a magneto-optical disk even though the focus vibrations are generated due to actuator reaction force. SOLUTION: This magneto-optical recording and reproducing device 1 is provided with: a pickup mounting part 12 mounted with an optical pickup 11 provided with an actuator; a magnetic head 14 held by a head arm 131 so as to face the pickup mounting part 12 with the optical pickup 11 and the magneto-optical disk interposed therebetween; and a pair of guide shafts 15 supporting both side parts of the pickup mounting part 12 and for guiding the pickup mounting part 12 along the radial direction of the magneto-optical diskal 2 in a reciprocative way. The base end part 131b side of the head arm 131 is made to go around to the rear face 121 side of the pickup mounting part 12 with a gap, and the point of the base end part 131b is attached to the rear face 121 at an appropriate place.
