PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of assisting a beginner's play without impairing a playing desire of a skilled player. SOLUTION: In the game machine which has a display controller means for controlling variable display of identification information in a plurality of variable display areas, and which can impart a game value when a prescribed stop pattern is derived in the plurality of variable display areas, the game machine is provided with an operation means for a player to operate for stopping each variable display in the plurality of variable display areas, and with an automatic stop controller means for automatically stopping the variable displays of the identification information in the variable display areas when the stopping operation is not performed with the operation means within a prescribed time, while the display controller means is provided with a variable display start timing controller means for controlling a variable display start timing in each variable display area, so that the identification information which is variably displayed at a predetermined speed in each variable display area can derive the specified stop pattern when the automatic stop is performed.
