摘要 PURPOSE: A circuit for generating gate driving voltage and a liquid crystal display using the same are provided to drop gate driving voltage only at an actually effective section to be inputted to a gate driving unit, thereby preventing unnecessary rise in current consumption according to the drop of the voltage. CONSTITUTION: A voltage output unit includes first switching elements outputting voltage inputted according to applied signals as gate driving voltage. An output control unit turns on the first switching elements for supplying the gate driving voltage to a gate driving unit. A kickback compensating unit includes third switching elements operated according to an applied kickback control signal for changing a level of the gate driving voltage output through the second switching element for executing kickback compensation. A kickback compensation control unit generates the kickback control signal according to the applied first and second output control signals, and generates the kickback control signal only when the first output control signal is a first set level and the second output control signal is a second set level.
