PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely perform compound analysis of a laser module. SOLUTION: A support system for designing a laser pumping includes a step of calculating heating value of every divided mesh of a pumping medium 3, a step of calculating the temperature T of every divided mesh according to the heating value, a step of calculating stress of every divided mesh according to the temperature T, a step of calculating refractive index N of every divided mesh according to the temperature T and the stressσand a step of calculating a propagation path of laser light of every divided mesh according to the refractive index N. Since the propagation path is calculated for every mesh, an arbitrary optical path can be calculated. Compound analysis is made complete to realize high speed design. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
