SZ SLOT, ITS MANUFACTURING DEVICE, AND SZ TYPE OPTICAL FIBER CABLE USING SZ SLOT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SZ slot that enables an optical fiber tape to be surely stored in the slot groove of the SZ slot, and also to provide its manufacturing device and an SZ type optical fiber cable using the SZ slot. SOLUTION: The SZ slot 10 is equipped with a tension member 12 in the center thereof and is formed longitudinally with at least one slot groove 25 inverted for the purpose of storing an optical fiber type 101 on the outer peripheral face. The tension member 12 is composed of a single steel wire having an outer diameterϕof 1.4-2.6 mm and a radius of curvature of 160-5,000 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
