HAIR GROWTH STIMULANTS, PERCUTANEOUS PREPARATIONS AND METHOD OF STIMULATING HAIR GROWTH

It is intended to provide hair growth stimulants which contain compounds having a choline esterase inhibitory effect and stimulating hair growth. As the compound having a choline esterase inhibitory effect, compounds having an acetylcholine esterase inhibitory effect are preferable and donepezil hydrochloride has a particularly efficacious effect of stimulating hair growth. It is also intended to provide percutaneous preparations which contain compounds having a choline esterase inhibitory effect such as donepezil and thus exert an effect of simulating hair growth. These percutaneous preparations are preferably in the form of solutions, creams, ointments, plasters or tapes. Moreover, a method of simulating hair growth involving the step of applying donepezil to the scalp is provided.
