<p>A morcellator is designed to comminute tissue. The morcellator includes a rotatable electrode and a drive system. The rotatable electrode has a resistance to the flow of an electrical current. The electrode is heated by the flow of the current through the rotatable electrode. The rotatable electrode is also rotated by the drive system as the rotatable electrode is heated by the flow of the current. The rotation and heating of the rotatable electrode enables the morcellator to comminute tissue.</p> |
