PURPOSE: An apparatus for selecting a tone color of an electric musical instrument is provided to select one of musical instrument sounds of a sound source module. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for selecting a tone color of an electric musical instrument includes an input socket(24) into which a connected extended from the electric musical instrument is inserted, an output socket(26) into which a connector extended from a sound source module is inserted, a flash memory(32) and MCU(34) electrically connected with the input socket, output socket and a THRU socket(28), and a plurality of select buttons(20a,20b) electrically connected to the flash memory and MCU. When a signal is received from the electric musical instrument, tone color data of the flash memory corresponding to each of the select buttons is transmitted to the sound source module to output a specific musical instrument sound corresponding to the tone color data through a speaker.
