PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guarantee lateral centering of a lid and to certainly prevent rotation of the lid around a vertical axis. SOLUTION: A slide roof device for a vehicle has the lid 6. The lid 6 is guided slidably on guide rails 9 disposed along a side edge of a roof opening via slide elements 7 and 8 disposed in the lid 6. The guide rails 9 has a mutual interval changing in the sliding direction, and the slide elements can perform a correcting operation relatively to the lid laterally to the sliding direction. At least one pair of slide elements 7 disposed in a range of both side edges of the lid 6 are connected to the lid 6 slidably via guides 10 that are disposed symmetrically with respect to the vertical center line 12 of the lid 6 and extend obliquely to the sliding direction.
