摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing bisphenol F in high yield so that unreacted phenol or the unreacted phenol and a polymeric component having three or more-nuclear substances are reduced. SOLUTION: This method for producing bisphenol F comprises reacting phenol with formaldehyde by using an organic phosphonic acid as a catalyst. In this method, preferably, 1 mol phenol is reacted with 0.01-0.30 mol formaldehyde and resultant bisphenol F is separated from unreacted phenol or 1 mol phenol is reacted with 0.20-0.60 mol formaldehyde and the resultant bisphenol F is separated from the unreacted phenol and the polymeric component having three or more-nuclear substances.
