<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club shaft increasing a head speed while stability at a swing is maintained by appropriately controlling flexural rigidity distribution of the entire shaft. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft 1 has a grip range in which a grip 2 is equipped in a bat end side and a flexible range in the range from the grip range to a chip end side. The flexible range has, in order from the chip end side to the bat end side, a small-diameter part LA with 30 N.m<SP>2</SP>or less difference in the flexural rigidity, a middle part with 0.3 N.m<SP>2</SP>/mm or more increase ratio in the flexural rigidity in a shaft length direction and a large-diameter part LC with 25 N.cm<SP>2</SP>or less difference in the flexural rigidity. The relationship of the magnitude between a flexural rigidity value EI<SB>1</SB>of the small-diameter part LA at the position closest to the chip end side and a flexural rigidity value EI<SB>2</SB>of the large-diameter part LC at the position closest to the bat end side is expressed by EI<SB>1</SB><EI<SB>2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
