PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container terminal capable of simplifying a structure of a carriage and reducing the movement space of the carriage. SOLUTION: This container terminal is provided with a container yard part 101b having a plurality of rows of yard cranes 107 traveling in the orthogonal direction for a quay 101a, a carriage track rail 121 for a container conveying provided in parallel to the quay 101a, a carriage 105 travelling on the rail 121, traversers 106A, 106B for changing the track of the carriage 105 and a container crane 104 for handling work for a container ship 103.
