MULTIPLIED HIERARCHICAL STRUCTURE, HIERARCHICAL MULTI- SPIRAL STRUCTURE, FUNCTION MATERIAL, STORAGE ELEMENT, RECORDING MEDIUM, NANOCOIL STRUCTURE, AND INFORMATION READ METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a multiplied hierarchic structure which is complementary with a fractal shape material and has a new degree of freedom of design and develops a new property, e.g. a hierarchical multi-spiral structure, and a function material using the same.

SOLUTION: A discrete degree of freedom is introduced when the multiplied hierarchical structure whose linear structure with curvature is thinner has its top structure formed of its bottom structure. For example, a discrete degree of freedom is introduced when the hierarchical multi-spiral structure whose linear structure forming a spiral structure is a spiral structure formed of a thinner linear structure has its top spiral structure formed of its bottom spiral structure. The discrete degree of freedom, e.g. the winding direction of a spiral is set to a specified value to prescribed its structure. The prescribed structure is made to correspond to specified information. The information is read out, for example, optically. The multiplied hierarchical structure or hierarchical multi-spiral structure is used to realize a storage element or recording medium.
