<p>The invention relates to a ball socket (1) for a ball joint. Said ball socket is provided with an opening (1.1) so that it can be slid and snapped onto a ball (7) of a ball pin. The aim of the invention is to improve a ball and socket joint of this type in such a way that the ball (7) sits in the ball joint housing (6) with as little play as possible and moves easily, despite the allowable tolerances.
