PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide and display a map including a route ahead of the location of a motor vehicle on one screen. SOLUTION: In the case that demands for division and display are made by a user while a normal map image MP3a is displayed on a scale SE3a as shown in Fig. (a), the navigation apparatus calculates regions AA3a-AA3e to be divided and displayed as shown in Fig. (b), and displays a map image MP3f divided and displayed on a scale SE3a as shown in Fig. (c).
