<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material which maintains a high coloring density and the whiteness of a non-image part (skin part) even when preserved for a long time in a high temperature/humidity environment and is excellent in biological preservation properties. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal recording material in which a thermal recording layer containing a diazonium salt and a coupler compound is formed on a support, the thermal recording layer contains at least one compound expressed by formula (I) ( wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>can be the same or different from each other, are each an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group, or a heterocylic residue, can independently have a substituent, and can independently form a dimer through a divalent connection group; and n is an integer of 1-7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
