Clamping ring (5.1) can be spread out to larger diameter on part of its length and the connector (2) sleeve (2.1) is nosed (2.1.1) where it faces the neck. Clamp ring (4) or cap ring (5) or both also have projections (4.1,5.1) and the cap ring (5) terminates furthest from the connector flange (2.3) in an inward shoulder (5.2) to bear against the outside of the can neck (1.1) on assembly.
