PURPOSE: An apparatus for preheating tundish nozzle is provided, which prevents clogging of the nozzle by sufficiently preheating the tundish nozzle. CONSTITUTION: In a tundish nozzle preheating apparatus for preheating tundish nozzle by blowing hot blast into tundish(16), the tundish nozzle preheating apparatus comprises a pipe(12) connected to a discharge hole of the tundish nozzle(10); and an exhaust pump(18) installed at the pipe to exhaust hot blast blown into the tundish, wherein an air inlet pipe(14) is branched off from a pipe connected between the tundish nozzle and the exhaust pump, and wherein the tundish nozzle preheating apparatus further comprises a discharge hole temperature detecting sensor(22a) installed at the front end of the discharge hole of the tundish nozzle; an exhaust pump temperature detecting sensor(22b) installed at entrance of the exhaust pump(18); and a PID controller(24) for controlling flow rate of hot blast flown into the pipe and flow rate of air flown into the air inlet pipe(14) according to signals detected from the discharge hole temperature detecting sensor(22a) and the exhaust pump temperature detecting sensor(22b).
