PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shear panel assembly including a shear panel in combination with a shear panel stopper body. SOLUTION: The shear panel 11 includes a frame 13 and panel diaphragms 12 having peripheral edges 14. The frame includes an upper horizontal frame member 24 for pivotably inter-coupling the upper ends 51 and 52 of first and second vertical frame members 20 and 21. A lower horizontal member 27 is coupled to the lower ends of the first and second vertical frame members. The peripheral edge of the panel diaphragm is fixed to the inner periphery of the frame within the depth of the frame. A shear panel system is mounted to the vertical frame members, so that it has the stopper bodies 40 having a base 41 and at least one engaging tub 42 of the vertical frame member extending from the base.
