<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic paper feeder capable of properly feeding paper even when it is curled. <P>SOLUTION: This device comprises a paper storage 14 which has a placement plate 13 vertically moving with the paper P on, a plurality of floating means 28a, 28b which blow air to the upper parts of the front surfaces of the paper P stored in the paper storage 14 in such a direction that the paper P are conveyed and which float the paper sheet P1 on the top layer, a sucking and conveying means 16 which sucks and conveys the sheet P1 on the top layer, a plurality of paper upper limit detecting means 18a, 18b which detect the upper limit position of the top surface Ps of the paper disposed on the upstream side in the conveying direction of the plurality of floating means 28a, 28b and loaded on the placement plate 13, and a control means 101 which controls the upward movement of the placement plate.
