NUMERACY TOY

An educational toy which can have numerous set ups depending on the players' wish. Fig. 1 and Fig 2 show one set up which comprised of 2 parallel rows, 7 bowls in each row, with 6 balls in each bowl, belonging to two different players; 7 removable or rotatable mathematical symbol positions are placed between the 2 rows of bowls, so that each pair of bowls is linked by a mathematical symbol. The game is flexible and can be set up in different mathematical modes, to satisfy different stages of children's development. The toy could be implemented either as a game board constructed from easily available materials or as a computer game implemented in a software program. The aim of the invention is to provide an easy way to learn basic principles of arithmetic in an entertaining way that is useful in developing numeracy skills necessary for children's daily life.
