METHOD OF CONTINUOUS OR SEMICONTINUOUS CASTING OF TUBULAR BLANKS OF COPPER AND ITS ALLOYS

FIELD: metallurgy, namely processes for continuous or semicontinuous casting of tubular blanks of non-ferrous metals. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing sleeve with drift in metal receptacle and mold vertically mounted one under another; heating and soaking melt in metal receptacle at temperature 1200-1300 C; drawing seed with formed billet by means of rollers of drawing stand at rate 10-14 m/hour vertically from upwards to downwards in atmosphere of producer gas; cooling blank in water at passing it through cooling apparatus. Process of heating metal in metal receptacle and crystallization process are also realized in atmosphere of producer gas used as shield gas. Pressure of rollers of drawing stand upon blank is equal to 44 kg/ sq. mm; flowrate of water fed for cooling mold is in range 2 - 7 l/min. Metal receptacle and mold perform oscillation motion at frequency 20 - 200 osc/min at amplitude 2 - 8 mm. EFFECT: enhanced quality of tubular blank due to making dense ingot with uniform structure, smooth surface, minimum fluctuations of blank walls by thickness along its whole length. 4 cl, 2 ex
