The present invention provides a reflector assembly (10) including a first (12) and second member (14), said first and second member each including formations (22) to receive a part of a lamp means (24) so as to hold said lamp means when first and second members are connected together, said first member including attachment formations (48) thereon to attach said first member to a flashlight body portion, said first and second members including reflection surfaces (44, 46) to form a reflector when said members are connected to the reflector assembly. The present invention also provides a flashlight construction including a planar body portion, a battery holder attached to said body portion, a reflector assembly and a lamp means, said reflector assembly being mounted to said body portion so that contacts for a said lamp means can make electrical connection to contacts from batteries held by said battery holder. The present invention also provides a method of constructing a flashlight said method including the step of forming a flashlight body from a blister package member and a sheet material body portion to which said blister package member is attached.
