Production of hard polyurethane foam comprises reacting a polyisocyanate with a compound having at least two isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms in the presence of a catalyst which is a 1,5-pentanediamine derivative (I). Production of hard polyurethane foam comprises reacting a polyisocyanate with a compound having at least two isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms in the presence of a catalyst which is a 1,5-pentanediamine derivative of formula (I). R<1>, R<2>, R<8>, R<9> = 1-10C alkyl, optionally forming rings; and R<3>-R<7> = H or 1-10C alkyl. An Independent claim is also included for polyurethane foam with reduced odor produced as above.
