The laminate has an intermediate layer of polyester contg. Si, of formula (I) (where X and Y are polyester terminal gps; R is a divalent phenol, not having the two OH gps in the o-position; When R is a polynuclear phenol there are no intermediate terms between nucleii; n is the degree of condensation. Cpd (I) may be poly(4,4'-dihydroxy diphenylene) -diphenyl silane. The laminate is formed at 100-300 degrees C (pref. 120-250 degrees C), and 0.5-10 (pref.1-5) atm. relative pressure. (I) imparts high transparency and high temp. adhesion, may be used on untreated glass and is easy to apply; conditions which known adhesives for glass do not meet. |
