PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained-release perfume-carrying resin particles in which the liquid perfume component is stably carried by the resin and which are excellent in sustained release i.e., the ability to slowly release its fragrance, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The sustained-release perfume-carrying resin particles are resin particles being made of a copolymer of an acrylic monomer or an acryl-styrene monomer with a hydroxylvinyl monomer and carrying a liquid perfume excellent in the delayed sustained and retentivity of a fragrance, wherein the resin particles which are to carry the perfume contain 0.1-20 wt.% OH groups on and/or under the surfaces of the particles, and the liquid perfume is carried on and/or near the surfaces of the particles.
