<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cutting efficiency by speedily cutting a radioactive long load with laser underwater and prevent water pollution to the environment by reducing the cut opening size for reducing a chip amount. SOLUTION: The underwater laser cutter 10 of the radioactive long load 12 comprises a cutting laser unit 19 for irradiating with laser light the radioactive long load 12 supported underwater, a recovering device 20 for recovering chips and the like generated during laser cutting, an assist gas supplier 21 for assisting the underwater laser cutting, an XY table or a running table movably supporting the cutting laser unit 19, an elevator mechanism 18 elevating these tables, a radioactive long load supporting device 16 supporting the radioactive long load in upright state, a main base plate 15 for placing the supporting device 16 and a controller 53 for operating and controlling each device and mechanisms.</p> |
