PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an internal fluorescent tube from being easily affected by environmental temperature change and to reduce the rate of breakage due to a temperature difference between two end parts of the internal fluorescent tube and an outer glass tube, in a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) having a double tube structure. SOLUTION: This CCFL comprises the internal fluorescent tube 3 and the outer glass tube 2 covering the outside thereof. The fluorescent tube 3 and the glass tube 2 are separately disposed and a space 4 is present between them. The CCFL includes electrodes 1 disposed at tip parts of the fluorescent tube 3 and the glass tube 2. Accordingly, the end parts of the internal fluorescent tube are not completely connected to those of the outer glass tube to drastically reduce the rate of breakage caused by the temperature difference between the two end parts.
