PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method that attains high image quality for an image without the need for increasing the capacity of a memory required to produce internal gradation image data where a high resolution/low gradation and a low resolution/high gradation are intermingled and without incurring deterioration in the performance and to provide an image processing apparatus and an image processing system to execute the method. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is provided with: a zoom means 1; a font image drawing means 2; a vector image drawing means 3; a shape conservation type gradation pixel data generating means 11 that produce data comprising pixels resulting from attaching binary shape information to conventional gradation values of each of data received from the zoom means 1, the font image drawing means 2, and the vector image drawing means 3; a shape conservation type gradation image data memory 12 that stores image data comprising the shape conservation type gradation pixel data produced from the means 11; a shape conservation type binary means 13 that applies binary image drawing processing to the shape conservation type gradation pixel data; a print control means 7 controls image printing; and a print mechanism section 8 that executes print processing. |
