PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying an unsaturated organic acid salt excellent in impurity-removing performance and suppressing a treatment cost, and a method for regenerating a weakly basic anion exchange resin and an adsorbing resin used in the purification. SOLUTION: This method for purifying the unsaturated organic acid salt comprising a process for treating an aqueous solution of the unsaturated organic acid salt with the weakly basic anion exchange resin and/or adsorbing resin, and the method for regenerating the weakly basic anion exchange resin and/or adsorbing resin used for purifying the aqueous solution of the unsaturated organic acid salt are provided. The method for regenerating the weakly basic anion exchange resin and/or adsorbing resin comprises a process of making the weakly basic anion exchange resin and/or adsorbing resin in contact with an alkali. The method for regenerating the adsorbing resin used for purifying the unsaturated organic acid salt comprises a process of making the adsorbing resin in contact with an organic solvent or a mixture of the organic solvent with water.
